Weather Alert – Update
01/23/2016 16:25 EDT – We hope that you have remained safe and warm during the snow storm. New York City is
under a blizzard warning. The worst of the storm is now with with blizzard conditions expected to last into
tonight. Accumulations are already around a foot and we’ll see another 4 to 8″ before it tapers off around
midnight. Snow totals for the storm will be 14 to 20″. Monday and Tuesday, melting will be in full force
with highs in the low to mid 40s. .
– The LIRR is shut as of 4pm.
– The last westbound PW line train will leave PW for Penn Station at 3:39pm.
– The last eastbound PW line train will leave Penn Station at 3:48pm.
– The Long Island Expressway and Northern State are closed as of 2:30pm.
– All bridges and tunnels closed as of 2:30pm
– NYC reportedly has closed “all” roads.
– Police urge drivers to stay off the roads for many reasons, including limited visibility.
– Conditions are expected to worsen significantly into the night.
– There have been relatively few power outages, so far.
– As the wind and the snow pick up, that could change.

– Significant accumulations of snow are still expected to continue—around 12-24″ still expected.
– Heaviest snows are expected to end sometime around mid-night; as much as 1-3″ per hour.

At this time, our entire staff is available to address any issue via phone and our advanced remote access,
monitoring & management tools. Client Services support staff are monitoring our HelpDesk call center &
ticket queues and issues are being responded to in a timely manner. Depending on the conditions on Monday,
please understand that any issues requiring dispatch may be delayed, as we ensure the safety of our staff
traveling to our sites or customer sites. All tickets will be addressed in a timely fashion and all issues
will be resolved as quickly as possible. We appreciate your understanding during this time.
Per our Emergency Preparedness Plan, the following steps have been taken and are in effect…
– Support Staff are able to work remotely to assist with issues via phone, email, & web.
– Managers are working closely with their teams to ensure continuity of LISS services and appropriate
response to client support requests.
– Backup sites have been made ready to maintain LISS operations in the event of extended utility or facility
– NYC metro area Internet Data Centers’ generators, UPS’s, and transfer switches have been maintained and
tested and are expected to function properly should a utility power failure occur.
– Fuel supplies are confirmed to be able to sustain at minimum of 5 days of up-time before refueling and
maintenance. Fuel suppliers are available and on stand-by.
– Building engineers will be on site at these locations and will be called to action ASAP if a utility
